Canadian Armed Forces & Royal Mounted Police
Thank you  Working K-9's and Handlers!

Royal Canadian Mounted Police  (Founded: 1920)
The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) is one of the most emblematic and iconic symbols of Canada. They are known for their bright red uniforms and the horses they ride, and are affectionately called The Mounties. They work as the national police force, providing law enforcement in all three territories and eight of the ten provinces (although they are present throughout the entire country, they do not provide municipal policing services in Ontario nor Quebec). The operations they undertake include enforcing federal law regarding organized crime, drug trafficking, border protection, and anti-terrorism and domestic security affairs. http://www.rcmp.gc.ca/en

Reading Buddies For Families

Toronto Humane Society   11 River St, Toronto    Ontario, Canada

The Reading Buddies program is an initiative that pairs new readers with shelter animals who are "all ears" to listen to them practice their reading skills. This program is mutually beneficial for both children and shelter animals. Children are able to build confidence in their reading skills by practicing with a non-judgemental "reading buddy", and the animals receive more human interaction which improves their sociability, and therefore increases their chances of being adopted!

Reading sessions are approximately 40 minutes in length. Every session includes: an introduction to the Toronto Humane Society, a brief tutorial on animal behaviour, and 30 minutes of reading time with a shelter animal. https://allevents.in/mobile/amp-event.php?event_id=1000085533698595

Treibballby True North K9 Compound

True North K9 Compound. 1503 Semrau Drive Northwest Medicine Hat, AB T1C 1V7
Canada

Learn ALL about Treibball - One of the fastest growing dog sports- with Nancy Turner
Treibball (pronounced Tribe-ball) originated in Germany a little over 10 years ago, and means “push ball”.

Treibball is a low-cost, low-impact sport, any dog and handler can play. If your dog has a nose or a shoulder, he can play Treibball!
The game is simple to play and train, and only requires a few fitness balls, some treats and a love of working with your dog. Your dog learns to target the balls, and then goes out into a playing field and pushes balls to you, with direction and control. The game is timed, with only one dog and handler team on the field, so mildly reactive dogs can participate too.

Nancy Turner from “World Treibball League” will be on site as the guest host to teach YOU and US all about this amazing game! Nancy brings a vast wealth of knowledge.
